So I am fighting the decision to move back home to New Orleans. I am trying to figure out if it is the right move to make. I went down to work Mardi Gras and realised that I missed it quite alot. I know that I won't be able to do it until at least January but if I do there will need to be changes from the last time.

If I move I will live either Uptown or in Mid-City. I would like to not work in the Quarter if possible too. I want to continue what I have done here in Memphis. I would like to focus mainly on my artwork and hopefully get more accomplished.

I guess I will decide after a few more months of trying things here.

Start of Summer

Well we just got done with JazzFest. It was good this year. Lots of good acts. Stevie Wonder, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Santana, Ozomatli, Burning Spear, and much more. I am glad I stayed through JazzFest this year.

Which brings me to my hectic life now a days. I am currently in the process of moving to another state. I always thought that once I moved to New Orleans I would never leave. I love this city alot and would love to be able to stay. Unfortunately there are things I want to accomplish which I cannot do here in NOLA. In the next few weeks I will be moving to Memphis. We already have a place there and soon will have jobs, though I am not worried about getting a job. Bartending in the French Quarter has it's advantages.

Soon I will be a Tennessee resident. How wierd. But I am happy to be making the move. I need something new to get my creative juices going and what better place than the home of the King. When you got Elvis you don't need much else.

Well it seems that another Mardi Gras has come and it has sucked. It really is a shame to figure that so far since "The Storm" the first Mardi Gras right afterwards has been the best so far.

On the good side it has at least been interesting and fun to a degree, just no money to be made. Cest La Vie.

This weekend a friend of mine died. It was hard news to hear and I am still a bit in shock from it. He was young, a talented artist, and an inspiration to me in many ways. I feel that it doesn't make sense that the good people always go first.

I will miss him. He is sleeping now.

I am about to make my way back to New Orleans. It has been a nice trip home for awhile. I am going to start the drive directly south though. Plan on making a stop in North Carolina. I figure I might as well break it up so it isn't such a long drive. Then on to New Orleans.
